Doutor was first established as a coffee roasting plant that roasted quality coffee beans from around the world.
On April 18, 1980, Doutor opened its first European styled café in Harajuku, Japan. At only 9-meter square or approximately 90 square feet, Doutor managed to efficiently use the space to serve high quality food and beverages. The small shop was a great success and it paved the future of Doutor in Japan. Good quality beans coupled with excellent customer service, Doutor now has over 1,200 outlets throughout the world.
In 2016, Doutor is expanding into Malaysian shores to serve quality coffee and food with a touch of Japanese elements under the brand name Doutor – Fresh Quality Coffee.
